The research paper intends, not only to highlight how nature or the physical environment appears to be the essence of the Igbo socio cultural life in Arrow of God. The study also unveils the interactions between the Igbo people and the environment in which they live. On the one hand, the result of this analysis illustrates that the Igbo socio religious and cultural values as well as their crops are deeply rooted in the physical environment that stands for their essence and source. One the other hand, the article demonstrates that the physical environment is threatened to destruction due to the humans’ non eco-friendly attitude, liable to be detrimental to Igbo socio religious symbols.
