Résumé | Abstract

This article discusses the notion of hybridity as developed in Leslie Marmon Silko’s Ceremony. Initially designed for the scientific domain, specifically biological science, hybridity evolved into other spheres namely literature. The article sheds light on the implications of hybridity in literature and how it operates in Silko’s Ceremony. The analysis of the novel lays the emphasis on the cultural, literary and linguistic forms of hybridity and their connections to any one of the pre-cited domains.
