Résumé :

Native Americans’ whole existence is made of stories, and storytelling goes far beyond the mere performance of telling tales. A great interest in research in Native American tradition has helped to understand the importance of storytelling, especially in the context where Western contact has altered their ecosystem which needs a healing approach. From a healing theory approach, this paper argues that, especially, in Silko’s fiction, storytelling functions as a ceremony intended to renew all that has been altered.
